Job Description

Make a lasting impact by guiding students through academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth in a highly supportive environment. This is an opportunity to engage with a center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom for elementary students in grades 35. The assignment begins August 31, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, structured as a full-time contract role, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Youll work within a well-resourced special education setting, surrounded by classroom support staff and other passionate education professionals.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License
  • EBD licensure preferred
  • Proven experience in center-based or high-needs behavioral classroom settings
  • Demonstrated expertise developing and implementing IEPs, BIPs, and classroom interventions
  • Skilled in progress monitoring and data-driven instruction
  • Strong classroom management and de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and families
  • Preferred candidates have experience with Setting III or center-based classrooms, PBIS, CPI, trauma-informed practices, and managing elementary behavioral caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for approximately six elementary students
  • Foster academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress within a structured environment
  • Create, implement, and monitor IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Collaborate closely with school staff, specialists, and support personnel
  • Engage in ongoing communication with families to support student success
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment
