In this full-time contract position, youll have the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated caseload of 1620 high school students, guiding them through targeted strategies to boost achievement and organization. Your day will begin at 7:30 AM and wrap up by 3:30 PM, leaving time for planning and interaction with a professional team.

What youll bring:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related area
• Completion of a state-approved special education preparation program
• Valid Minnesota teaching license from the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board
• Demonstrated skills in Special Education core competencies and relevant licensure area (e.g., Learning Disabilities, ABS, EBD)
• Student teaching/practicum completed
• Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance
• Experience working with high school students, especially in reading intervention and executive functioning, preferred
• Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills with both special education and general education teams

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and delivering reading intervention and study skills instruction
• Supporting students in academic planning and organization
• Developing, implementing, and tracking IEPs
• Maintaining compliance with all district and state requirements
• Collaborating closely with school staff, families, and support teams

This assignment runs from September 2026 through Thanksgiving 2026, providing focused support during a crucial period in students educational journeys.
