As a Special Education Teacher, youll play an integral role in a dedicated team, providing instruction to a caseload of 10 students between 2nd and 5th grade, with the potential to support K-5th as new students enroll. Benefit from a high staff-to-student ratio, collaborating closely with seven experienced educational assistants to deliver personalized learning experiences.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education (SPED) Certification required
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
- Prior experience or a genuine passion for working with elementary-aged learners with diverse needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and individualized instruction aligned with each students IEP
- Collaborate with educational assistants and related service providers to ensure student success
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and attend IEP meetings
- Create a supportive, inclusive classroom climate that fosters growth and independence
- Adjust instructional techniques as needed to accommodate new students entering the program
