Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students in grades Pre-K through 12, or specific grade bands (K-5, 6-8, 9-12)
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementation strategies
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Background in teaching or supporting math curricula preferred
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and needs within the school

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each students needs
• Provide direct instruction and support in inclusive, resource, or self-contained settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify assignments and assessments
• Use data to assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Foster a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and family conferences
• Promote advocacy, independence, and self-confidence in students
