Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Current state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain certification)
• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Proven experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Knowledge of a range of disabilities and individualized teaching strategies
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with staff, administrators, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Evaluate student progress, adapting lessons and teaching methods as needed
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement
• Consult and coordinate with general education teachers and instructional aides
• Promote inclusion and advocate for students within the school community
• Participate in parent meetings, school staff collaborations, and ongoing professional development
