Licensed Special Education Teacher LLD Program
Location: Springfield, MA (Impact Prep at Chestnut Campus)
Contract: Full Time, ASAP through End of School Year
A specialized role is available for a licensed Special Education Teacher to support students with learning disabilities and communication impairments in the LLD program at a Springfield school. This position requires an experienced educator to act as the teacher of record, leading instructional initiatives, executing IEPs, and working alongside paraprofessionals and support staff to foster student success both academically and behaviorally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with specific learning disabilities and communication impairments
- Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Serve as the teacher of record, providing instructional leadership and progress documentation
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and support personnel for integrated student support
- Maintain consistent classroom management and develop comprehensive instructional plans
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license
- Proven experience supporting students with learning disabilities and/or communication impairments
- Skilled in IEP development, execution, and compliance
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Effective classroom management and instructional planning capabilities
