Job Description

Youll work with Early Childhood and Elementary Intensive Skills classrooms, focusing on supporting students in an autistic classroom setting through the end of the current school year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Must hold a valid Kansas Special Education (SPED) License
  • Experience working in Special Education, particularly with early childhood or elementary-aged students
  • Expertise supporting students with autism or intensive needs is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Special Education Teacher for Early Childhood and Elementary Intensive Skills caseloads
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and adaptive strategies specific to autistic learners
  • Collaborate closely with educational teams, therapists, and families for comprehensive student support
  • Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adjust instruction as necessary
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture that celebrates every student's growth
