Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting middle school students in an autistic support program. This role provides a structured and rewarding environment, working closely with a dedicated team to create positive outcomes for every learner.

Your schedule will run from 7:15am to 2:45pm, aligning well with work-life balance goals, and the assignment starts soon, extending into early June 2027. Youll be at the forefront of supporting students growth and development, adapting strategies to deliver outstanding individualized education.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate with special education endorsement for middle school grades
  • Demonstrated experience with middle school students, ideally in autistic support or related special education settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and differentiation in instructional practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students requiring autistic support within a middle school environment
  • Design and implement IEPs, modifying curriculum and instructional techniques to meet diverse learner needs
  • Collect and assess student data, adapting interventions and approaches as needed
  • Partner with colleagues and support staff to foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate
  • Engage with parents/guardians regularly to share student progress and strategies

This contract offers a consistent 35-hour workweek, with a half-hour daily unpaid lunch. The number of students on your caseload will be determined as placement begins, allowing for focused and personalized teaching.
