We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for a full-time, contract position working with K-12 students. You will provide specialized instruction, support student growth, and collaborate with a team of professionals in a welcoming school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching license
- Pennsylvania PDE Certification (Special Education)
- Prior experience working in special education settings
- Confident in developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to work onsite (remote work is not available for this role)
- Comfortable supporting students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to student IEP goals
- Assess student abilities and progress, maintaining thorough documentation
- Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and professional development opportunities
- Promote inclusion and advocate for the unique needs of each student
This is a contract assignment spanning the 20262027 school year (anticipated dates: August 2026 through June 2027) with a commitment of 35 hours per week. There are four positions available, making this a great opportunity to work alongside a group of fellow professionals with a shared mission.
