Job Description

This opportunity seeks experienced special education teachers for full-time positions in a school setting for the 2026-2027 school year in Allendale, SC. Candidates will be placed primarily in middle school and elementary school roles, supporting diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored instructional support as a resource teacher to middle school students, typically supporting 12-15 students.
  • Serve as a resource teacher for elementary school students, assisting approximately 15-18 students with their learning goals.
  • Deliver specialized instruction for a self-contained elementary classroom, working with about 8 young students aged 4 to 8 years.
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff.
  • Create a positive learning environment to foster academic growth and social development.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to meet individual needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid special education teaching certification.
  • Experience with middle and/or elementary school special education students.
  • Ability to work effectively with children who have varying abilities and needs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments.
