Location: District in the Allendale, MI area
Assignment Dates: May 18, 2026 October 16, 2026
(End of school year into beginning of new school year; no summer coverage required)
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Approximately 8:15 AM 3:45/4:00 PM

- Early Childhood Education (ECE) setting
Position Overview:
A district in the Allendale, MI area is seeking a Special Education Teacher to cover a maternity leave assignment spanning the end of the current school year and the start of the next. This role focuses on early childhood students and includes both instructional and case management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in an early childhood classroom
- Manage a caseload of approximately 1214 kindergarten-aged students (subject to change)
- Develop, update, and implement IEPs
- Attend and lead IEP meetings
- Collaborate with staff, families, and support teams
- Support classroom instruction alongside or as the lead teacher
Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
- Active Michigan Special Education teaching license
- Cognitive Impairments (CI) endorsement required
