Job Description

A Special Education Teacher position is available for a contract role in the Allendale, MI area, serving early childhood through kindergarten students with cognitive impairments. Key Qualifications:

Location:

  • Allendale, Michigan

Work Schedule and Duration:

  • Full-time, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Contract dates: May 18th through June, with return August through October

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with cognitive impairments within early childhood to kindergarten age range
  • Develop, update, and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Case manage assigned students to monitor and support their educational progress
  • Support lead teacher with additional administrative and instructional duties as needed
