Youll work in an elementary school setting with a manageable caseload of 7 students in Kindergarten and 1st grade, making meaningful connections and providing impactful instruction every day.

Youll enjoy the support of two dedicated paraprofessionals in your classroom, as well as ongoing collaboration within a highly supportive special education team. Your expertise, compassion, and commitment will help shape a positive learning experience for each student.

What you need to bring:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Certification required
• Prior experience teaching in an elementary school preferred
• Passion for working with students on the autism spectrum
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work full-time, onsite for the duration of the contract
• Skilled at working collaboratively with paraprofessionals and team members

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering individualized instruction for K-1st grade students with autism
• Collaborating closely with paraprofessionals and the special education/building team
• Developing and modifying Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment
• Monitoring and documenting student progress
• Communicating regularly with families and staff
