A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support diverse learners in an engaging school environment in Albany, NY. This contract position focuses on providing tailored educational support and fostering inclusive classroom experiences for students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student progress
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to meet students unique learning needs
- Monitor and document student performance and behavior in accordance with school policies
- Support social and emotional development while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment
- Participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings

- Certification or licensure in Special Education
- Experience working in special education settings, with a strong understanding of diverse learning needs
