This contract role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Special Education Teacher to make a lasting impact, working with students across a range of grade levels from Early Childhood, Pre-K, and Kindergarten through elementary, middle, and all the way to high school. Youll play a crucial part in fostering inclusivity and supporting students growth, particularly in Math, in a vibrant school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse learners, including those with IEPs
- Comfortable adapting lessons for students in Grades Pre-K through 12th
- Strong background in Math instruction
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to create positive, engaging, and supportive learning environments
- Flexibility to adjust teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored educational plans for students with varying abilities
- Modify the curriculum, particularly in Math, to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
- Track student progress and document outcomes accurately
- Foster a safe, encouraging classroom space where every child can thrive
