Job Description
This full-time position offers a dynamic opportunity to serve as an Intervention Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year, supporting high school students in a self-contained special education environment. The role requires working with students displaying a range of behaviors from mild to intense, fostering their educational and personal growth through tailored interventions. The assignment begins ASAP and continues through May 2026.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching strategies to accommodate behavioral variations
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Maintaining a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement
- Participating in both in-person and virtual interviews as part of the onboarding process
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid teaching certification in special education or as an intervention specialist
- Proven experience working with self-contained high school special education students
- Ability to manage a range of behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to student support
