Job Description
Empower young learners in a supportive elementary environment as a Special Education Teacher for an engaging contract assignment. This position, based onsite, focuses on a center-based program serving elementary-aged students who benefit from individualized instruction and a compassionate approach.
The contract runs from August 3, 2026, through May 29, 2027, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the entire school year. With a manageable caseload and dedicated resources, youll play a key role in fostering student growth and supporting their unique learning needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Colorado Special Education Teacher license (required)
- Previous experience working with elementary students in a special education setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, accommodations, and behavioral strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable delivering instruction in a center-based, onsite program
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and assess IEPs, maintaining organized and accurate documentation
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and allied professionals
- Foster a supportive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to help students achieve both academic and social-emotional goals
- Communicate progress effectively to parents and caregivers
