Job Description
This full-time Special Education Teacher position in Fitchburg, MA, offers a rewarding opportunity to support high school students with mild to moderate special needs. Working Monday through Friday, you will manage a caseload of approximately 20 students in grades 9 through 12, providing tailored educational support that fosters academic growth and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for high school students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to meet student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and milestones
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education License covering the high school level
- Experience working with students who have mild to moderate disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop effective teaching plans and adapt to student needs
