A school social worker position is available in Zion, IL, offering a travel assignment with onsite responsibilities. This role involves providing social work services to students in grades K through 5, supporting their social, emotional, and behavioral needs within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments of students
- Develop and implement individualized support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address student needs
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services
- Deliver resources and referrals to families as appropriate
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation
- Participate in school meetings and multidisciplinary team collaborations
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement
- Experience working with K-5 student populations in school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain confidentiality
