A school is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide essential support to students from kindergarten through 5th grade in Zion, IL. This full-time, onsite contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide intervention services for students requiring social and emotional support
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualized plans that support student well-being and academic success
- Facilitate counseling sessions, group work, and crisis intervention as needed
- Connect families with community resources and services to address home and environmental factors impacting student performance
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district policies and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement
- Experience working with K-5 students preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively while delivering high-quality counseling services
