Desired Qualifications:

• Current, valid Social Work license appropriate for school-based positions
• Experience working in K-12 educational settings (elementary, middle, or high school)
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and multi-tiered systems of support
• Excellent communication, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop individual and group counseling interventions
• Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and develop intervention plans to enhance academic and social success
• Provide direct social-emotional support through individual and group counseling sessions
• Advocate for student needs through coordination with teachers, administrators, and families
• Connect students and families with appropriate community resources and referrals
• Support positive school climate initiatives and contribute to crisis intervention efforts as needed
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, documenting progress and recommendations
