Job Description

Make a positive impact in educational settings by supporting upper elementary students as a dedicated School Social Worker. This contract includes working with grades 4 and 5, providing vital services to students and collaborating with staff, families, and the broader school community. The assignment is conveniently scheduled from 8:15am to 3:45pm, beginning September 28, 2026, and ending December 18, 2026.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a school social worker
• Experience supporting students in an educational environment, preferably upper elementary grades
• Skilled at case management and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Proficient in updating and initiating IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Ability to attend and contribute thoughtfully to meetings with staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services and interventions to students in grades 4 and 5
• Provide case management and support for students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Participate in, update, and initial IEPs as required
• Attend meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
• Maintain thorough, accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state requirements
• Help foster a positive, inclusive school climate
