Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students social and emotional growth in an engaging school environment as a Social Worker. On a contract basis, youll collaborate with educators, families, and community partners to help students navigate challenges and reach their full potential.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or certification required to practice in schools
  • Background working with children, adolescents, and families in educational settings
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention, counseling, case management, and advocacy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Understanding of special education processes and relevant legislation is highly valued

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students social, emotional, and behavioral needs through interviews, observations, and standardized tools
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies, individual and group counseling, and crisis response plans
  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and facilitate effective communication
  • Provide resources, referrals, and wraparound services to students and their caregivers
  • Attend and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences
  • Assist with conflict resolution, positive behavior interventions, and preventive program development
  • Maintain thorough, confidential documentation in accordance with school policies and legal requirements
