Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Social Work credential, with experience in a school-based or similar setting
- Deep understanding of emotional and behavioral support for children in early grade levels (K-4)
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, school administrators, and families to develop individualized support plans
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and advocacy skills
- Compassion and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in school environments
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school policies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct emotional and behavioral support for elementary students, focusing on emotional support caseloads
- Assess student needs, develop intervention strategies, and conduct individual or group counseling sessions
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and maintain thorough documentation
- Liaise between students, families, and school staff to address concerns that impact student learning and well-being
- Deliver crisis intervention services as needed
- Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive school climate
