Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure/certification as a School Social Worker
• Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings (elementary, middle, and/or high school)
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral management techniques
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and small group counseling sessions to support student emotional well-being
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to assess student needs and create tailored interventions
• Serve as a valuable liaison between home, school, and community resources
• Provide crisis intervention services and support students experiencing trauma or significant stress
• Lead workshops and classroom lessons promoting social skills, coping strategies, and resilience
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies and legal requirements
