This role offers a dynamic opportunity to support students across multiple educational levels, including elementary, middle, and high school, within a collaborative school environment in West New York, NJ. The position is contract-based and focuses on delivering essential social work services designed to promote student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement effective intervention plans tailored to individual students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student challenges.
- Provide counseling and support services to students and their families.
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops focused on social skills and coping strategies.
- Advocate for students access to educational and community resources.
- Maintain detailed records and comply with all relevant regulations and school policies.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed or certified social worker with experience in an educational setting.
- Proven ability to work effectively with students of all grade levels elementary, middle, and high school.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with community resources and referral processes.
- Compassionate, patient, and culturally sensitive approach to student support.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
