Job Description

A part-time contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Social Worker who values collaboration, student advocacy, and proactive support. This in-person role primarily serves elementary students, providing essential services and promoting positive learning experiences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work or a related field required
  • Current Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois
  • Previous experience as a social worker in school settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and staff
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student backgrounds and needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social-emotional support and counseling to students
  • Assist students facing academic, social, or behavioral challenges
  • Develop individualized student plans and provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
  • Lead or participate in meetings focused on student wellness and intervention strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive school climate

This part-time role follows the school calendar, running August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and is ideal for social workers who appreciate work-life balance. The position is located primarily at an elementary school and will require on-site presence throughout the contract period.
