Job Description

A contracted Social Worker position is available, offering 20 hours per week (.5 FTE) in a school setting located in Watkins, CO. This role requires holding a valid Colorado School Social Worker (SSW) license and focuses on supporting students through a variety of mental health and educational support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 504 Plans, including conducting meetings, completing evaluations, and updating plans to meet student needs
  • Provide mental health counseling to students on the 504 caseload as well as those identified as at-risk or within the general education population
  • Assist with suicide risk assessments, threat assessments, and crisis intervention to ensure student safety and well-being

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Colorado School Social Worker (SSW) license (required)
  • Experience with 504 Plan case management, including coordinating meetings and completing evaluations
  • Skilled in delivering mental health counseling and interventions in a school setting
  • Ability to conduct thorough suicide/risk and threat assessments and respond effectively during crisis situations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and school staff
