Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in social work from an accredited institution
  • Current and valid Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA
  • Full Approval or School Social Worker Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education, or SSW 310 credential letter and active application with the MDE
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in educational settings
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement intervention strategies for diverse learners
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver group and individual support interventions to students with special education needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to create and implement effective support plans
  • Document services and progress in accordance with school guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational programs for assigned students
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to state and federal regulations
