Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Social Worker certification (or eligibility) required
• Prior experience in a school setting, specifically with preschool populations
• Demonstrated ability to complete initial special education evaluations
• Proficiency in Spanish for bilingual assessment
• Strong knowledge of Child Study Team processes and special education frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive initial social work evaluation for a preschool student referred by the Child Study Team
• Perform bilingual assessments in both English and Spanish, delivering culturally relevant insights within the evaluation report
• Collaborate with educators, school psychologists, and related service providers throughout the assessment process
• Prepare detailed reports in line with school and state deadlines (evaluation due by 07/01/2026)
• Maintain critical communication with families, ensuring their input and concerns are incorporated in planning
• Adhere to student and staff working hours (Student: 8:30 AM2:30 PM; Staff: 8:00 AM2:55 PM)
