Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
- Experience with K-12 students, with a strong background in crisis intervention, counseling, and case management
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for students of diverse backgrounds
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and interventions for students facing challenges such as behavioral issues, mental health concerns, and family crises
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop actionable plans to address barriers affecting learning and well-being
- Liaise with teachers, administrators, and outside agencies to coordinate comprehensive services
- Lead or participate in crisis response and intervention teams
- Facilitate small group or one-on-one counseling sessions for students dealing with academic, social, or emotional issues
- Serve as a resource for parents and caregivers, offering guidance and referrals as needed
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
