A licensed Social Worker is needed to provide leave coverage for an elementary school setting in Warwick, RI. This contract role supports an elementary caseload and runs from January 27th to March 28th, with a possibility of extension through the end of the school year. The position offers a 35-hour workweek in a supportive school environment known for its kind staff and scenic surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social work services to elementary students under a leave of absence coverage
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student services for Medicaid reimbursement compliance
  • Collaborate with school staff and participate in ongoing communications to support student well-being
  • Follow all district guidelines and complete necessary onboarding, including fingerprinting and background checks

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Social Worker in Rhode Island (RI Social Worker license required)
  • Experience working with elementary-age students in a school setting preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements
  • Ability to work independently within a contract assignment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
