Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work and active state licensure
  • Previous experience in school settings, ideally across elementary, middle, and high school levels

  • Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and child development
  • Commitment to cultural competence and inclusivity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop support plans that foster academic and personal success
  • Respond to crisis situations, providing timely intervention and resources
  • Facilitate referrals to external agencies and community resources as appropriate
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant laws and regulations
