Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work and active state licensure
- Previous experience in school settings, ideally across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
- Ability to build trust and effective relationships with students, families, and staff
- Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and child development
- Commitment to cultural competence and inclusivity
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop support plans that foster academic and personal success
- Respond to crisis situations, providing timely intervention and resources
- Facilitate referrals to external agencies and community resources as appropriate
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant laws and regulations
