Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid and current license to practice as a social worker in the state
• Previous professional experience in school settings across various grade levels (elementary, middle, and high school)
• Strong understanding of adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, families, and staff
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Familiarity with special education process and development of intervention plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and provide individual and group counseling for social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Collaborate with educators, families, and outside agencies to create and implement effective support plans
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions as needed
• Promote positive school climate through education programs, workshops, and restorative practices
• Facilitate referrals to community resources and support families navigating social services
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with district and legal guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives for student success
