Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan LLMSW or LMSW is required
• Active preliminary or professional SSW certificate (REQUIRED)
• Previous experience as a school social worker in educational settings
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage caseloads across different locations
• Commitment to advocating for student wellbeing and educational success

Role Responsibilities:

• Serve as a supportive resource to students from kindergarten through 8th grade across various school buildings
• Develop and maintain a rotating schedule, working at a designated school each day (e.g., School A on Mondays, School B on Tuesdays, etc.)
• Conduct assessments, offer crisis intervention, and create individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to address students behavioral, emotional, and social needs
• Provide both group and individual counseling services
• Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and student support teams

This assignment will begin as soon as possible and continue through June 22, 2027, offering a consistent work week of 37.5 hours. The interview process is conveniently conducted via Zoom.
