Located in Warren, MI, this contract position offers an opportunity to support K-12 students as a School Social Worker. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 15, 2026, on-site at a school serving both General Education and Special Education populations. The role requires delivering social-emotional support, behavior interventions, and coordinating 504 Plans to meet diverse student needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing social-emotional counseling and behavioral interventions to students
- Serving as the 504 Plan Coordinator, ensuring compliance and accommodation implementation
- Collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Managing a caseload of students with various academic and emotional challenges
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Masters degree in Social Work
- Michigan state licensure as a Social Worker
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in a school environment
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills tailored to youth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work cooperatively within a collaborative educational team
This is an onsite role requiring the candidates full presence during a standard 37.5 hour workweek. The position focuses on meaningful engagement with students, parents, and education professionals to foster student success and well-being.
