Job Description

Empower students and families by providing vital support services as a School Social Worker. In this contract position, you'll work collaboratively with elementary, middle, and high school students, helping them navigate challenges and fostering a positive, productive environment at all grade levels.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and valid licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Experience working with elementary, middle, and/or high school students
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students, families, and staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Competence in crisis intervention, counseling, and group facilitation
  • Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling and support services to students facing academic, behavioral, or social challenges
  • Assess student and family needs, linking to community and school-based resources when appropriate
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and specialists to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Conduct evaluations and participate in IEP and 504 meetings as required
  • Advocate for students well-being, addressing barriers to educational success
  • Offer prevention and crisis response to families and educators
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical standards
