Two distinct roles are availableone position serving students in grades K-12, and a second focused exclusively on supporting a high school caseload. Both positions will collaborate closely with educators, families, and external partners to help students navigate challenges and realize their full potential. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid and current licensure as a School Social Worker
- Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school-aged students (for K-12 role) or with high school populations (for high school-only role)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support
- Understanding of IEPs, Response to Intervention (RTI), and 504 plans is highly valued
- Ability to engage with diverse student and family backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling services and social-emotional support to students
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators to promote a positive school climate
- Serve as a liaison between school, families, and outside service providers
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, IEP meetings, and student support planning
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
- Maintain accurate records and document services in compliance with district and legal requirements
