Job Description
Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a School Social Worker during the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to support students social, emotional, and academic growth in an educational environment near Twin Lake, MI. With a 35-hour work week, you'll collaborate with educators and families to ensure students reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop intervention plans and provide crisis management
- Familiarity with IEPs and special education processes is a plus
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct counseling to students individually and in groups
- Conduct behavioral assessments and participate in the development of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to support student success
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to student needs
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources
- Promote a positive, inclusive school culture focused on student wellness
Contract Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Contract position for the 2026-2027 school year
