Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as a School Social Worker or equivalent state credential
• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Previous experience working in schools or with youth preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to conduct assessments and develop individualized support plans
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and community resources

Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs through interviews, observations, and collaboration with staff and families
• Provide short-term individual and group counseling to address personal, academic, and social issues
• Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to each students needs
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies to coordinate resources
• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation of services, interventions, and progress
• Participate in student intervention or support team meetings, offering insight and recommendations
• Assist with crisis prevention and response in accordance with district protocols
• Deliver workshops or informational sessions on topics such as bullying prevention, self-esteem, or coping strategies
