Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Social Worker license in the state
- Experience providing social work services in elementary, middle, or high schools
- Ability to assess students needs and develop intervention strategies
- Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and working within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff
- Comfortable navigating diverse student populations and culturally sensitive approaches
- Effective crisis management and conflict resolution abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students through counseling, intervention, and resource connection
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and counselors to develop plans that address academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns
- Facilitate small groups and one-on-one sessions for social-emotional development
- Participate actively in student support meetings and contribute to the development of IEP and 504 plans
- Engage families in the intervention process and connect them with applicable community resources
- Document interventions, maintain confidential records, and adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Deliver crisis intervention services as needed
