Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
- Experience working with diverse student populations in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong communication, advocacy, and collaborative skills
- Proven ability to assess student needs and develop effective interventions
- Up-to-date knowledge of state and federal requirements for special education and student services
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Conduct assessments, produce reports, and help design intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other support staff to promote student success
- Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community, connecting families with resources and support agencies
- Participate in IEP meetings, student assistance teams, and crisis intervention efforts
- Deliver classroom presentations on social-emotional learning, bullying prevention, and mental health awareness
