Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Strong understanding of educational, behavioral, and emotional challenges affecting students
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and student intervention plans
• Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations impacting students

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students social, emotional, and behavioral needs in collaboration with teachers and parents
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to improve students academic and personal growth
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and resource referrals as needed
• Participate in meetings to support student success, such as IEPs, RTI, or multidisciplinary team discussions
• Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of services and outcomes
• Provide staff training and parent education as appropriate
