Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters degree in social work from an accredited program (required)
• Valid school social worker certification/license (as required by state regulations)
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred

• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of mental health, crisis intervention, and community resources

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students needs and develop intervention strategies
• Provide individual and group counseling focused on academic, behavioral, and social success
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and outside agencies to implement support services
• Participate in IEP meetings, school intervention teams, and 504 planning as needed
• Advocate for students well-being and connect families with community organizations
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Address crisis situations, offer immediate support, and help deescalate conflicts
• Promote a safe and supportive school climate through prevention and intervention programs
