Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Current state licensure in School Social Work
- Prior experience supporting students in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong knowledge of community resources and crisis intervention techniques
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education services is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to students facing academic, social, or behavioral challenges
- Assess individual student needs and develop intervention plans
- Collaborate with school staff and families to foster student success
- Support crisis intervention efforts and contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment
- Help facilitate small group sessions and classroom guidance lessons
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support positive student outcomes
