Bring your expertise in school social work to a rewarding contract role supporting K-8 students across multiple buildings near Sterling Heights, MI. Beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 22, 2027, this opportunity offers a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of young learners by providing crucial social-emotional and behavioral support.

Youll work 37.5 hours per week on a flexible, building-to-building schedulespending each day in a different school and collaborating with faculty and staff to ensure continuity of care. This is a fantastic way to build strong, varied experience with diverse student populations in an engaging urban setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a current Michigan LLMSW or LMSW license
• Possess a preliminary/professional School Social Worker certification (required)
• Previous experience as a school social worker or relevant setting is strongly preferred
• Skilled at supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of K-8 students
• Comfortable working in multiple school environments and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt, organize, and manage shifting schedules across locations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide social-emotional counseling and support to students in grades K-8
• Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate student support
• Deliver crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with district and licensing standards
• Develop preventative programs and resources to promote student well-being
