Job Description

Were seeking an experienced School Social Worker for a contract assignment, providing vital services across multiple locationsOrchard, Oakridge, and Ravenna. This full-time position begins as soon as possible and continues through mid-October, covering a maternity leave.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Michigan School Social Worker license
  • Independent, self-motivated professional (no supervision provided)
  • Previous experience working within educational settings, preferably with K-12 students
  • Strong background supporting students with diverse behavioral and academic needs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple school environments

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social work services to students with various behavioral and academic challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, special education providers, and families to develop effective interventions and support plans
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate and thorough documentation
  • Provide crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and case management as needed
  • Participate in special education evaluations, multidisciplinary meetings, and the development of individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment throughout all assigned campuses
