There are two positions available: one serving an inspiring K-12 population, the other dedicated exclusively to a high school caseload.

Ideal Background:

• Current licensure or certification as a School Social Worker as required by Michigan standards
• Experience supporting students in any K-12 setting; specialized experience at either elementary or high school level is a plus
• Understanding of common social, emotional, and behavioral challenges faced by students
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external agencies
• Flexibility and adaptability to support changing student and campus needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide direct social-emotional support to students
• Develop and implement individualized plans to address barriers to student success
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support academic, attendance, and behavioral goals
• Serve as a liaison between students, families, school staff, and community resources
• Facilitate group or classroom sessions on relevant social topics
• Maintain documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
