Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited institution
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a school social worker
  • Experience supporting children and adolescents, preferably in a school or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of child development, behavioral intervention strategies, and community resources
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and manage caseloads independently

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students individually or in groups
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention and support plans in collaboration with educators and parents
  • Address attendance concerns, family dynamics, and issues affecting student well-being and academic performance
  • Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and outside agencies to ensure students receive comprehensive support
  • Conduct assessments, develop reports, and maintain appropriate records to track student progress and support compliance
  • Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
