Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
• Experience with social work in elementary, middle, or high school settings
• Strong understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and special education processes
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and parents
• Ability to assess student needs and provide crisis intervention when necessary
• Familiarity with case management and documentation for school records

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Provide counseling and support to students coping with academic, social, or family challenges
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to IEPs and educational planning
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies to coordinate services
• Educate staff and families on relevant mental health and social issues
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state policies
