Job Description

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Experience supporting children and adolescents in educational settings
  • Ability to develop and implement individual and group interventions
  • Strong interpersonal, cultural competence, and communication skills
  • Skilled in crisis prevention, response, and problem-solving
  • Knowledge of IEPs, 504 plans, and FERPA guidelines is desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify barriers to student success and develop effective solutions
  • Conduct needs assessments and connect students and families to appropriate community resources
  • Participate in the development and implementation of intervention plans, IEP meetings, and behavioral support programs
  • Facilitate classroom-based social-emotional learning sessions and small group workshops
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards for student confidentiality
  • Offer crisis intervention and conflict resolution support as needed
